Poor Molly!!!! She finally got in to see the vet!! She was terrified! She tried to bite the nurse! She didn't seem fazed by it!! They had to put a muzzle on her to draw blood. I almost cried! I was very proud of her! She managed to get the muzzle off twice before they could close it!! It took three tries! The nurse checked her eyes and her teeth. She has a dentist appointment in September.
Molly was 2 years behind in her rabies shots, she was three and four years behind in other shots. The vet said she has had a rough little life. I asked her about her weak stomach and she discussed it with us asking what she eats. The vet said she had a weak stomach then but shows no signs of it now. Molly is five pounds underweight and the vet said she is a skeleton. You can feel all her bones! I asked if I could feed her turkey and chicken to help with the weight gain. She said that was fine. Molly had a shot in every leg! She had something put up her but, and boy was she whimpering! I started crying! She had to swallow some banana flavored medicine, and she had something put up her nose!
When they were done with her she hauled across the metal table and ran straight into my arms! She likes it when I gently bounce her up and down! She calmed down in under a minute when I got her back! I turned so she couldn't see the bad people anymore!
She has to go back and get booster shots in three weeks because she hasn't had any shots in years.
They also gave her Benadryl and a pre-med before she had all the shots. She gets a half of a teaspoon tonight of Benadryl. She is limping and she can't run or jump off the couches, she hurts so bad.
Tonight Molly felt better, she went to the kitchen and picked up her paper plate and brought it to daddy in the den! She had eaten at five and here it was seven! I fixed her favorite wet food and she ate all of it!!!
She is back to feeling sluggish again! I am rocking her. Poor Baby!
She now has health insurance. We got a more expensive plan because of her past health problems!! We want to make sure she is well covered!
