Poor Molly! She had such a frightening time at midnight. We went to bed at 9:30pm, deciding to forgo watching the ball drop. I was really tired after a day of making pizzas and desserts for Christopher's party. She snuggled in around my legs and was asleep in no time. That girl is a mess, she loves to play games with daddy. He puts his hand under the comforter and Molly attacks his hand with all she has. This leaves her very alert and excited ready to play another game with daddy. But tonight she was tired from a busy day of playing outside. It was not long before the thunderous sounds started, some started early around 11:30pm. Molly was up on all fours when the first snap, crackle, and pop hit! I was awake in a heartbeat when I heard the sounds and reached for Molly and laid her down by my tummy. She shook a lot and shivered at the succession of sounds howling through the air. I kept my arm around her until the air was silent again.
When she awoke this morning she looked like she had been up all night partying, her weak eyes and sluggish movements told the story. I babied her all day. she took a nap with me in the recliner early in the afternoon. She was her old self after sleeping it off with me. I played with her in the backyard with Dewd.
