Jonathan had a school assignment. He had to go to the opera. He caught a ride from ODU to The Harrsion House. We had to pick him up in downtown Norfolk at 10:00 pm.
Molly was ticked. Jonathan never came home from school. She planted herself outside his bedroom door barking to be let in about every ten minutes or so. It was a pitiful sight.
When it was time to leave for picking up Jonathan we decided to take Molly with us. It was past her bedtime and she was upset that we had not gone to bed. She had parked herself at the bottom of the stairs waiting to be whisked up to bed.
I grabbed her leash, showed it to her and she came running all excited, tail wagging, we are going for a walk she thought!
I scooped her up and put her in the car on my lap, she had a great place to people watch! This was her first car ride at night. She started to shake but she calmed down after about ten minutes. She leaned against the window sill pressing her nose on the window and occasionally barking if she saw someone walking. She slept the fifteen minutes we were on the interstate. As we left the exit ramp the bumps on the road woke her up. She was barking at all the people walking on the sidewalk, kinda cute!
At the Opera house there were tall windows with stairs leading upwards to two more floors, the maintenance men and women were cleaning on each floor and Molly went ballistic barking at all of them. We were laughing so hard that she stopped and looked at us! But she went back to barking!
Molly was sitting in daddy's lap when Jonathan came out and she tried to jump out the window! He picked her up through the window and put her in the middle seat with him where she promptly fell asleep in his lap!
She was a little tired today and she is very sleepy tonight!
